TWiT Caravan Status
As of now I’ve put together the collection of GPS location points tweeted by Colleen and Tony and got this map. Currently the TWiT Caravan is just about at vegas. They haven’t updated since 11 PM San Francisco time, so I can assume that they haven’t continued their journey, or that they broke down during the night and the Tricaster is now being devoured by buzzards…

And just to point out that it could have been worse… if you were walking it would take 12 days 22 hours walking, with all of that gear, driving a van isn’t so bad.

This app has been available since the early days of the App Store, however the whole time, it has seemed to be the best of the streaming audio applications available, however the interface is slightly less than intuitive.FStream has a built-in library of presets including ShoutCast and the iTunes presets, however there is functionality

I’m a TWiT aficionado and always use the TWiT.am app from the App Store, however it doesn’t work in the background (a feature I LOVED when I had my iPod jailbroken) however, I got curios and tried this, and so can you! Go to http://twit.am/ in Safari Click on Listen Live [A Player opens
What I’m Watching: Dr. Kiki and Ray Maxwell

This week I finally caught the live stream of Dr. kiki’s Science hour on live.twit.tv, Leo Laporte (of TWiT.tv)’s live video stream of everything he does, even some shows which you can’t directly get a podcast feed of, such as Maxwell’s House with Ray Maxwell and Dr. Kiki’s Science Hour with Dr. Kiki Sanford. This is a quick animation I made in Kinemac from the MacHeist bundle this year. I experimented with 3D camera controls against 2D objects.
Kinemac: First 20 Minutes

Part of MacHeist this year was a $300 animation app, Kinemac. I sat down and played with it, and I actually got a working animation. My biggest hang-up was making sure that the camera view is at the top of the sprites window and to make a keyframe before editing the sprite. Here is a
My GMail Situation:

Since GMail came into invite-beta I’ve had an account, and last year, when I finally got BradArsenault.com, I added a Google Apps domain which is connected to it. So now I have two email accounts. Back in August of last year I connected the email accounts together by fetching my BradArsenault.com email through Google’s POP
Best Domain Message Ever!

If you don’t know, after you purchase a domain and before a site is in place there is a “parker” page which usually notifies visitors that the domain is not available and a site should be up soon–and shows ads for the registrar. Leo Laporte (accidentally) let his twitlive.tv domain expire and after re-purchasing it,

Leo Laporte has an AppleScript he uses to time himself out for his weekend radio show as the show is syndicated and if he continues past a certain time will be cut off by commercials, and so wrote an AppleScript, hotclock.scpt, it uses Quicksilver for notifications. I thought this would be of use for any
CODE: Applescript TWiT Army Notifier

I’ve taken inspiration from Leo Laporte’s “hotclock.scpt” and have developed a TWiT Army Notifier. This script requires Mac OS X, Quicksilver, and (optimally) Growl. All of this is free. To execute this you have to open the Script Editor in the Application folder, copy and paste the following code into the editor, then press Save
