Google Chrome-What Browser Am I Using?
A common trick web developers use is to determine which browser you are using to assure that an incompatible browser doesn’t have a bad experience on a site, or to change the formatting to suit the browser (really common for Internet Explorer 6)… anyway I’m using the recently released Google Chrome (to download it: google “Google Chrome Download”, or go to www.google.com/chrome) and I tested Chrome against one of these scripts (the site I used is located here) and found that the script showed Chrome as Safari 525.13 on Windows. (as shown in my screen shots below)

I don’t know what you are upset about. Safari is mozilla based and open source. It’s nothing but stripped down Firefox. Google just took it a little farther and made it suck. Speaking of suck, that’s why I don’t use Chrome, it sucks! I use Firefox ’cause I want to and IE when I have to.
BTW, I am using a beta version of WIndows 7 with IE 8 beta. When I go to http://igx.net/whatami.html it says I am using Mozilla! HA! Looks as if MS is going open source!

@jimbo: bullshit, safari isn’t related to firefox in any way let alone mozilla. it’s developped by apple, except for the KHTML rendering engine. This one was taken from the Konqueror browser from the KDE environment (Linux).
