For the past weeks I’ve been obsessed with Applescripting, and I actually bought a paperback book for this: Applescript 1-2-3 is a book that has been a great resource, it has great examples, and the way that topics are explained seem to make sense with me, the relation of objects, and even more advanced topics such as object-oriented Applescript. For those already on the Mac, this is a great book. Get it from Amazon for $49.99.

I also have been looking into other picks, hardware, iPod/iPhone, Audible picks, etc…
Sadly, this Mac app is gone. The people from Techspansion used to make this application, and if you were lucky enough to be able to purchase this cocoa interface for FFMPEG for $25. Visual Hub takes just about any video file and converts it to just about any other other format.
